In 2006, Robert Panzera listened to a group of friends who wanted to escape the cold weather in New York and do a California based training camp. After doing a bit of reconnaissance over the next 12 months to develop routes, lodging, and support, Rob put the word out and 4 people came to the first ever CCSD training camp in 2007 and launched what is now a successful training, coaching, tours and events business operating across the USA and Europe.

Cycling Camp San Diego (CCSD) offers an exceptional riding and training experience in the United States and around the world. CCSD coaches and participants share a sincere passion for the sport of cycling. Our goal is to provide a value-driven physical and social experience where it’s all about the bike. And while we’re serious about this biking business, we’ll all have some fun, too…

During winter months, CCSD gives cyclists in colder climes the opportunity to leave the stationary trainer behind and get outdoors to pedal through the incredible mountain, desert, and coastal scenery of the San Diego area. As the weather improves in other parts of the world, CCSD follows it offering cycling and hiking tours in Europe or custom tours anywhere in the world.  With professional coaching, skills clinics, mechanical demonstrations, pro appearances, and other cycling-related educational programming, CCSD has something for every rider, no matter where they’re from.

Our current biggest area of business development is in events and event management. Along with our signature events, St Paddy’s Palomar Punishment, The Dirty Devil and The Great Western Bicycle Rally, we also provide logistics management for a variety of one-day and multi-day events throughout California and the United States. Many times our logistics management focus on charity events, giving back to the community that has given us so much.
